Heart of the Agraak

S.J. Sanders

Book 9 of The Mate Index

In this alien sci-fi romance, human soldier Frankie finds herself stranded in the swamps of the Agraak homeworld after infiltrating as a disguised recruit, and must rely on Kaede, an Agraak male fighting to free his people from their oppressive ruling class. As they dodge danger together and plan for an uprising, an unexpected bond forms between them that challenges everything Frankie thought she knew about a species long viewed as the series' villains. The book blends political rebellion, found-family elements among the resistance fighters, and a budding mate-bond romance.
