Seraph

Lily Mayne

Book 6 of Monstrous

In this sixth entry of the post-apocalyptic Monstrous series, former assassin Lilac is tasked with guarding a caged, feral monster called Seraph, who was tortured and experimented on by the military before ending up at the raider camp. As Lilac spends his nights watching over him, he begins to see the wounded, intelligent person underneath Seraph's monstrous exterior, and the two form a deep emotional bond even as Seraph's body continues to deteriorate from what was done to him. The story blends found-family warmth from the earlier books with a much heavier, more emotional tone centered on trauma, healing, and devotion.
