In a post-apocalyptic wasteland overrun by monsters and patrolled by a controlling military, a wary raider named Ghost rescues an injured, chained creature from an abandoned base instead of leaving him to die. As he nurses the gentle but immensely powerful being back to health, an unlikely bond forms between them, even as outsiders scheme to recapture the monster and the secret of his true nature threatens to upend camp life. It's a tender, hurt/comfort-driven love story wrapped in a gritty survival setting.
