Soul Eater

Lily Mayne

Book 1 of Monstrous

In a post-apocalyptic America overrun by monsters, a young soldier named Danny is sent on a near-suicidal mission to capture a legendary monster known as the Soul Eater. When the creature spares his life instead of killing him, Danny finds himself drawn into an uneasy, and ultimately tender, bond with the terrifying being called Wyn. Forced together in the dangerous wasteland beyond the safety of the cities, the two slowly build trust, understanding, and eventually love across the vast gulf between human and monster. It's a slow-burn, found-family tinged romance wrapped in survival, violence, and unexpected tenderness.
