Lor is the seventh book in Lily Mayne's Monstrous series, a post-apocalyptic m/m fantasy world where monsters and human men fall in love. This entry functions almost like an origin story, following Lor, a monster ruler (Moric) of his own fiefdom, after a human named Jugs falls through a strange interdimensional rift into his world. Told in dual first-person POV across a long timeline, the book follows their slow-building bond as Lor tries to shield Jugs from political rivals and the consequences of the rift's discovery. It expands on the series' mythology of how monsters first crossed into the human world.
